British Photographer Captures Polar Bear Cubs' First Steps Out of Den

According to the British 'Sun' newspaper on March 22, 41-year-old wildlife photographer Brian Matthews from Hartley Puer, Durham, captured a group of approximately 12-week-old polar bear cubs taking their first steps out of their dens in a Canadian wildlife park. These cubs had been spending almost four months in their dens and were photographed playing and frolicking in temperatures of -40 degrees Celsius, before taking a nap with their mother in the snow. These sweet family portraits were taken by award-winning British wildlife photographer Brian Matthews. The photographer described the cubs as being about the same size as a West Highland Terrier before they entered the outside world. Brian discovered the bears in Wapusk National Park, Manitoba, Canada, and said he wasn't worried about getting so close while taking pictures. (China Youth Online compiled report)
