Critically Endangered Blue-headed Duck Spotted in Yunnan, China

This is a black-necked swan (February 22nd photo) taken in the Qinghua Hai National Wetland Park in Pu'er City, Yunnan Province. Recently, staff of the Qinghua Hai National Wetland Park Management Center in Pu'er City, Yunnan Province, detected a globally critically endangered species, the black-necked swan, during patrol of Donghu Lake. A black-necked swan (right) in Qinghua Hai National Wetland Park in Pu'er City, Yunnan Province (February 23rd photo). It is introduced that since the 1990s, under the influence of habitat loss, overhunting, and human disturbance, the population of black-necked swans has decreased dramatically, therefore it has been listed in the ‘Critically Endangered (CR)’ species in the ‘Red List’ of the World Conservation Union.
