Beijing is a vital migratory route for many birds in the spring and autumn. In addition to Wild Duck Lake and Mǐyín Reservoir, there are also a large number of migratory birds in Nanhai Zi and Da Shi He in Daxing and Fangshan respectively.

Currently, the city's forest coverage rate reaches 44%, the forest coverage rate of the plains area reaches 29.6%, and the urban green coverage rate reaches 48.46%, and the ecological environment is continuously improving.
