CCTV.net News: On April 6th, villagers in Miyawa Village, Ji'er Township, Xiaogan County, Sichuan, discovered a wild giant panda. Villagers immediately called the police and recorded the panda's activity with their mobile phones.

Villagers discovered the giant panda at 1:15 PM. The giant panda was in bushes on a hillside near the village, occasionally strolling along mountain paths and sometimes sitting down to rest, its appearance was cute and adorable.
Staff members said that since March 2018, the nature reserve has repeatedly photographed traces of wild Siberian tigers. Currently, staff have installed infrared cameras in places where wild Siberian tigers might be present in order to better capture and record the movement trajectories of wild Siberian tigers.
Subsequently, the Xiaogan County Forest Police Station officers rushed to the scene and guarded the giant panda together with the villagers. After the giant panda stayed in the village for two hours, it returned to the forest. Currently, it is impossible to determine the gender of this giant panda, nor is it known why it came to the village. It is reported that this is the third time a wild giant panda has been found active in Xiaogan County. The Xiaogan County Forest Police also reminded local villagers to report immediately if they find a giant panda's activity again and take protective measures.
