Largest Giant Blind Fish Discovered in Underground Water Pool of a Cave in India

In Meghalaya, India, there is a place called Jaintia Hills. A research team arrived at a cave near Jaintia Hills and unexpectedly discovered a giant blind fish in an underground water pool. The fish is called blind because it has no eyes and is unresponsive to light.

According to the recollections of the research team members, after entering the cave, they waded across the water pool, and the ripples on the water surface attracted their attention. They also said that the fish was gnawing at their water shoes at the time.

This giant blind fish is a subterranean fish, with an appearance similar to a carp, with a plump and full mouth and a pair of long whiskers. It also seems to have some features of the golden roach, also known as the golden roach, which is mainly distributed in the Indian subcontinent, such as India, Afghanistan, and Nepal.

Normally, people believe that subterranean fish in caves do not exceed 13 inches (approximately 33cm) in length, but this giant blind fish is a full 1 foot (approximately 30cm), surpassing all its peers. It is truly a magical giant.

Scientists once believed that the subterranean environment in the caves did not have the conditions to produce large fish, firstly because there was no light, which was not conducive to feeding, and secondly because the food was scarce. However, the existence of this giant blind fish undoubtedly overturned traditional scientific cognition.
