Qinling Ecology Protection | Wild Pronghorn Spotted in Chang'an Feizibing Village
Xi'an Net News: With the increasing efforts to protect the Qinling Mountains and the continuous improvement of the ecological environment, the beautiful Qinling Mountains have become a habitat and paradise for more and more wild animals.

Recently, villagers in Feizibing Village, Qianzhuan Street, Chang'an District, Xi'an, along the 210 National Road, discovered a male wild cattle (pronghorn). At that time, the wild cattle was searching for food along the national road. Because villagers frequently encounter wild animals, they have strong protection awareness. After discovering the wild cattle, they reported it to the town government and related departments, and also fenced off a rapeseed field nearby for the wild cattle to forage.

Wild cattle are a first-level protected animal in China, listed as an endangered species in China's Red Book, and listed as a precious species by the International Union for Conservation of Nature's Red List. It is also one of the four treasures of our province in the Qinling Mountains, which include the golden eagle, giant panda, red panda and wild cattle.
