Recently, a nationally protected animal, the brown eagle, was rescued and successfully released back into the wild.
On March 21st, members of the county forest fire brigade discovered a wounded brown eagle on the training grounds of Guo Dao Town. They immediately contacted the county forestry and grasslands bureau and personally escorted it to the temporary brown eagle rescue station for observation and treatment.
With the cooperation of Lingxingshan Town, after 7 days of careful care, the brown eagle’s spirits recovered and it reached the conditions for release. Recently, the county forestry and grasslands bureau, together with the experts who implemented the rescue for this brown eagle, released it back into nature.
In recent years, Qin Yuan County has consistently promoted the comprehensive ecological governance of the county’s area, effectively strengthening the protection of biodiversity, which has led to continuous improvement of bird habitat and a continuous increase in the number and species of birds. Particularly as a bird of Shanxi Province, the brown eagle’s population and activity range within Qin Yuan County have continuously increased and grown in number. Now it mainly resides in Lingxingshan Town, Meiwailau Village, the First River Village, Hei Village, Zao Village, and the Wild Valley area, with a total population of over 3,000.
