On April 4th, photographer Luo Gaosha captured a scene of several mandarin ducks playing in the Shanhe River Wetland Park.
Mandarin ducks, now regarded as a symbol of love by modern people, did not traditionally hold this symbolism.
It sometimes represented couples, sometimes brothers and friends. During the Han and Wei dynasties, people only viewed the mandarin duck as a symbol of brothers and friends.
In fact, the symbolism of the mandarin duck is multifaceted and cannot be equated with 'couples'.
