A group of 34 extremely endangered spoon-billed sandpipers discovered in Zhanjiang, GuangdongOn July 17th, a large number of extremely endangered spoon-billed sandpipers (yù) were discovered in the Honglin National Nature Reserve of Zhanjiang, Guangdong. Spoon-billed sandpipers are one of the rarest birds, and currently there are approximately 210 to 228 breeding spoon-billed sandpipers in the world, far fewer than pandas. (CCTV)
