34 Critically Endangered Spoon-billed Sandpipers Discovered in Zhanjiang, Guangdong
Guangzhou Zhanjiang discovers 34 extremely endangered spoon-billed sandpipers Recently, 34 extremely endangered spoon-billed sandpipers (yù), a bird species, were discovered in the Guangzhou Zhanjiang Red Tree Swamp National Nature Reserve, this is the second large discovery of endangered spoon-billed sandpipers in Zhanjiang coastal wetlands in recent years. Spoon-billed sandpipers are one of the rarest bird species, and there are currently about 210 to 228 breeding spoon-billed sandpipers in the world, far fewer than giant pandas. (@People's Daily)
