On November 27, 2019, MacMillan was walking her poodle Remmy in Riverside Gardens, Bayswater, Perth, when a larger dog suddenly attacked Remmy. After escaping the larger dog's mouth, Remmy ran into the nearby bushes and hasn't been seen since.

MacMillan and her family conducted extensive land and water searches throughout the area, but still haven't found Remmy. At the time of the incident, MacMillan also offered a reward of 1,000 AUD (approximately 4,689 RMB) on social media and followed up on potential leads, but to no avail.

MacMillan said on Facebook: 'We still haven't given up.'

Therefore, on February 15th, MacMillan increased the reward to 25,000 AUD for anyone who returns Remmy or finds him, or who can directly locate the dog and provide information, effectively doubling the reward amount to 25,000 AUD. MacMillan explained that they urgently need answers and want to know Remmy's whereabouts as soon as possible.

MacMillan wrote online: 'It is a beloved member of our family, and we need it back. We love it, we miss it, and we are heartbroken by its disappearance. We are also worried that as time passes, it becomes more difficult to find.'

Facebook lost and found poster

MacMillan considers Remmy a member of her family and is willing to spend a large sum of money to find him. Shortly after MacMillan's post was published, it was forwarded 2,000 times, and the number is still growing. There are not many people like MacMillan who treat their dogs this way. In December 2019, a woman in San Francisco, USA, offered a reward of 7,000 USD (approximately 48,900 RMB) to find her dog.
