Spectacular! Tens of Thousands of Migratory Birds Rest in the Huanghe Yaohua Wetlands
On December 5th, tens of thousands of migratory birds gathered in the Huanghe Yaohua wetland in Shaanxi Province, bordering Sichuan, where national first and second-level protected animals such as white swans and gray cranes were waiting to dance gracefully or rest and forage, creating a magical scroll-like landscape of the Yellow River wetland.
In recent years, the county of Heyang has vigorously improved the ecological environment of the Yellow River wetland, scientifically restoring it and continuously increasing the efforts to protect the wetland's ecological functions. The ecological resources, plant and animal communities, and abundant aquatic life of the Huanghe Yaohua wetland provide an ideal wintering and habitat for rare waterfowl, making it a happy place for various wintering migratory birds, rare resident birds, and other species to survive and reproduce. According to reports, this place is also the wintering, breeding, and living place of national first-level protected birds such as the red-crowned crane, white swans, black stork, white stork, and large bustard, as well as national second-level protected birds such as the white spoonbill and mandarin duck, which are rare and large-scale species.
