When mentioning Wutaishan, many people's first impression is Guo Jing and Huang Rong's paradise from Louis Cha's novel—Wutaishan.
Hearing these three words for the first time, the scene from the TV series comes to mind—a small island surrounded by four rivers and four lakes, with peach trees all over the island, blooming with delicate and pale pink peach blossoms.
And the Wutaishan I'm talking about is Xuzhou Wutaishan Park, located in the eastern part of Xuzhou City, bordering the Liu Bao River. It is a nature-oriented, culturally rich, recreational, and educational eco-garden.
It's not a private paradise like the Jiangnan area, nor a royal garden like the northern frontier. However, Xuzhou Wutaishan Park is built alongside the city, cultivated for generations, and hailed as the first-class garden in Northern Jiangsu.
