Karakoram Snowscape Emotions
Having crossed the new Nagqu Highway to Masar Osaka, descending from the thick snow and ice road to the 3800-meter Masar Base, it was already 2:00 AM on April 22nd.
After driving 50 kilometers to the right, after passing a strict checkpoint of a border outpost, and then walking 6 kilometers, we finally arrived at our destination, Kurukesi Village, Xihaihu Township, Yecheng County.
Despite being very tired, the morning sun didn't allow me to sleep longer.
This is a small village located on the left bank of the Yarlik River, the entire village still in a lazy and comfortable dream in the morning light. I stepped into such a beautiful dream.
The ditch between the two ridges is wide, illuminated by the sun, part of it is very bright, and the part that is about to be illuminated is still somewhat dark. I adjusted my mood in this somewhat dark place, which required walking through a thousand-year journey to achieve.
There were camels looking at me in the low earth mounds, and dogs curled up in the straw piles at the edge of the courtyard, asking me. The Uyghurs are low here, at least 100 meters lower than the village, her spacious and airy space is a deep gorge that comes out of the River of Time. Therefore, under the rising sun, the winding silver is very dazzling, like the silver ornaments on the chest of my Miao girl at home.
The south side of the village is close to the snow mountain, the four-month snow is not thick or thin, smeared on the blue sky, and the distant west side, seemingly low and far away, is the jagged peak of K2, whose foot is a realm I couldn't even name. On her side is China, and on the other side is Pakistan. – Kurukesi Village, is nestled beside this beautiful ice peak, where one could sleep for a thousand years.
This is Xihaihu Township, Kurukesi Village. From Yecheng, it takes even twice strict border checks to get here. Such primitive villages, every person's selfish thoughts, must be filtered several times before allowing entry into another realm – the Kurukesi Realm.
Here it is very quiet, even chickens and dogs dare not shout loudly. Stopping the footsteps, you can actually hear the music played by the Yarlik River in the deep valley, low and profound.
Compared to Village Six, Kizyrluo Township, Aktao County, which I visited last year, Kurukesi is broader in scope and has a more open mind and smoother blood.
I took a deep breath, I spread my arms to breathe, I wanted to absorb this small village into my chest and store it in my blood. I even hoped that when I kissed my lover one day in the future, I could also spit out this morning's comfort, letting her share…
A Uyghur herdsman, leading a team of camels out of the sun, their footsteps were solid, but didn't know they had awakened someone else's good dream. More impatiently, was the camera in hand. – Yes, machines don't understand feelings. The more modern things are, the farther they are from our pulse.
After a short while, three or two camels gathered towards the center of the village, and this quiet was replaced by another quiet. The village elder said that tomorrow a group of foreign mountaineering teams will rent all the camels in the village to conquer K2.
– K2, the K2 of the Karakorams, is the world's, just like Kurukesi should also be one of the world's. Such realms belong to the entire human civilization, or to the civilization of the entire human future.
