Free 3A National Scenic Area in Shaanxi Province, Formerly Costing 400 Million to Build, Forced to Demolish Due to Illegal Construction
With the development of tourism, various scenic areas have diverse styles, some are ancient scenic spots, some scenic areas have introduced cherry blossom attractions, and some have introduced historical attractions. Regardless of the style, the resulting revenue is different. The most unfortunate outcome is that poorly managed scenic areas eventually go bankrupt. However, one scenic area was demolished due to illegal construction – Kunlun Temple in Baiheyuan Scenic Area.
In late March of this year, Kunlun Temple in Baiheyuan Scenic Area, Shaanxi Province, was forcibly demolished due to violations of building regulations. This was because Kunlun Temple was found to be built illegally. The government ordered an explosion demolition. In early March, the Baihe Garden scenic area's folk cultural village was also demolished. Baiheyuan Scenic Area experienced two consecutive demolitions of attractions, and its status rapidly declined. Today, we mainly talk about Kunlun Temple. Kunlun Temple is located in Wangfeng Village, Sangling Village, Han Cheng, Shaanxi Province, and was built around the 1970s. The dilapidated Kunlun Temple could no longer withstand wind and rain.
After several years, local coal mine manager Wang Cuntang began to restore Kunlun Temple. As a native of Han Cheng, Wang Cuntang's restoration of Kunlun Temple gained the support of the people of Han Cheng. According to local villagers, Wang Cuntang spent over 400 million in restoring Kunlun Temple, and the restoration took more than a year. Wang Cuntang, the coal mine manager, was very meticulous.
Kunlun Temple is a combination of the Goddess Temple and the Bodhisattva Temple. Kunlun Temple is surrounded by mountains, with lush trees, and the scenic area has also built pedestrian walkways, glass observation decks, and signal towers. After four years of sedimentation, the dilapidated Kunlun Temple finally looked more organized, becoming a national-level 3A scenic area, and the tickets are free! Kunlun Temple instantly became a local landmark and a popular resort destination, and the Kunlun Temple Festival was also very successful, with tourists flocking to it.
Now, Kunlun Temple is no longer prosperous, leaving only a pile of ruins, which is sighing and lamentable.
