There is a Waterfall Group at the Border Between China and Vietnam; China's Grand Scale, Vietnam is Rather Petite
When talking about Guangxi tourism, everyone's first impression is Guilin's magnificent mountains and rivers. In June last year, my travel journey stepped into Guangxi, and I entered Chongzhou, a border city where the Guangxi region borders Vietnam. Here, I felt the strong border atmosphere and gained a deep understanding of the mysterious Fahua Mountain. However, after the journey, what I liked most was the Detian Transnational Waterfall located above the border between China and Vietnam.
Detian Waterfall is located in the Daxie County of Chongzhou City, Guangxi, and is a large waterfall on the Guihua River, which borders Vietnam, and is a border river between China and Vietnam. It is connected to the Vietnamese Paniao Waterfall, and is the first in Asia and the fourth largest in the world. The waterfall has a very large water volume, which is three times that of the famous Huangguoshu Waterfall in China. As a 5A-level tourist attraction, Detian Waterfall has always been a famous card for Chongzhou tourism. Its unique natural environment has also made it a frequent filming location for many film and television works, including the popular drama 'Flower Thousand Bones' which was filmed here.
When looking from the viewing platform towards Detian Waterfall, you can see a large waterfall with a drop of nearly 50 meters, and the water flow is very spectacular. Next to Detian Waterfall is Paniao Waterfall in Vietnam, and the two have a significant difference in volume. Our companions joked that the volume of the waterfall is like the volume of two countries, and even nature is very clever to make them match.
Inside the scenic area, you can take a bamboo boat to get closer to the waterfall, listen to the sound of the rushing water, and feel the cool air from the water vapor.
Inside the Detian Waterfall scenic area, you can see many Vietnamese products, and I highly recommend buying drinks and yogurt from the shops inside, which is worth trying. Previously, there was a border street inside the scenic area that was open to tourists, where you could buy many Vietnamese products. However, with the comprehensive management and planning of the scenic area, it has been closed when we went there.
Detian Waterfall is a very worthwhile tourist attraction. There are buses returning to Daxie County from Nanning, but it's quite troublesome. It is relatively recommended to drive there. The scenic area is very large, and the standard ticket price is 80 yuan per person, which is not expensive.
