Rustic and Natural Old Zhou Ancient Town, Experience a Different Ethnic Charm
Xiu Zhou Ancient Town is located to the southeast of Anshun City, and Anshun City itself is a city of five directions and multiple ethnic groups coexisting, so many ethnic minorities also live in Xiu Zhou Ancient Town. The Han population accounts for the majority, followed by the Bu Yi, Miao, and Hui ethnic groups. As a native of Xiu Zhou, I'm happy to introduce my hometown to you today.
Xiu Zhou Ancient Town is composed of many ancient temples, courtyard houses, and ancient post roads. The town's commerce is not much, and many residents still live in these old houses. The ancient streets and deep courtyard houses are landmarks of local cultural inheritance. The town's development relies on the development of Xiu Zhou Ancient Town. The houses still retain the architectural features of the Ming and Qing dynasties.
Find a high place to watch the sunset.
Accommodation: I highly recommend Xiu Zhou guesthouses, courtyard houses renovated into ancient town style guesthouses. When visiting, you can wear Hanfu, qipaos, or local Fengyang Hanfu for a very nostalgic photo experience.
Food and Drink: Xiu Zhou Ancient Town has many local specialties. Due to the regional factors, the residents here like to eat spicy food, and a special snack is wrapped rolls, wolf teeth potatoes, hand-pulled noodles, spicy chicken, and beef noodles.
Specialties: I highly recommend spicy chicken, which is a dish that Xiu Zhou residents eat every day. It's available in bottled or vacuum-packed packages for you to take home. There is also homemade cured pork and cured sausage from farmers, a great gift for your family and friends. In summer, every household in Xiu Zhou Ancient Town makes sour chili, which is preserved with salt and various spices, and can be stored for a year. Sour chili with shredded pork is also a delicious dish.
Sightseeing: After exploring the town, there are many attractions around it, such as flower seas in the mountains in Jiangnan in all seasons, Gu Langtang village with streams accompanying you all year round, and Chenggong Miao Temple where you can pray.
