Longju Town Issues Dongying City’s First Township Tourism Industry Development Support Measures
Reporter from Dongying District Longju Town, Dongying City, learned that in order to develop the characteristic tourism resources along the Yellow River, create high-quality cultural tourism projects, and promote the ecological protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin, the town has formulated and implemented Dongying City’s first Township Tourism Industry Development Support Measures, providing rewards and support to investment subjects that invest in and build tourism projects in Longju Town and pay taxes in accordance with the law.
Supports the development of tourism projects along the Yellow River Ecological Belt in Longju Town by utilizing various resources. For projects included in the town’s annual key construction projects that comply with the Longju Town’s tourism industry overall planning layout, the town government establishes a special project team to track and assist throughout the project, helping coordinate land use, handle related procedures; provided that all procedures are complete and construction has commenced, land transfer fees for the first 3 years will be subsidized by 50% (excluding land use within the ecological red line, which will be paid out annually after the town government confirms the normal construction and operation of the project, and the eligible subject has already enjoyed related policy subsidies; projects with similar or equivalent policies will be subsidized according to the principle of higher proportion, without repeated enjoyment; for the first 3 years of operation, the town's share of tax revenue will be fully refunded.
Encourages the development of cultural tourism industry by utilizing relocated villages along the Yellow River. For old villages that the town government has planned for tourism projects, if all procedures are complete and construction has commenced, 25% of the renovation cost will be subsidized for each courtyard renovated according to the original scale and layout, complies with the Longju Town’s Yellow River overall appearance features, and achieves five-star standard as stipulated in the ‘LB/T065—2019 Tourism Hostel Basic Requirements and Evaluation’; after acceptance and verification, the maximum subsidy will not exceed 50,000 yuan.
Longju Town is the only town along the Yellow River in Dongying District, with a long history, surrounded by forests, and picturesque scenery. In recent years, the town has implemented the Yellow River Extension Relocation Project, and all 19 riverside villages have been relocated to the newly built Longju Community, opening up space for the development of Yellow River tourism. To retain the ‘sound, sentiment, nostalgia, and appearance’ of the old Yellow River villages, the town has conducted in-depth research and verification to determine that some old villages will be renovated in a restorative manner, and has planned projects such as the Yellow River Triangle Delta Non-Heritage Cultural Industry Park, Yellow River Academy, ‘River of Words’ Silkworm and Mulberry Small Town, and integrates them into China Dragon Cultural Tourism Zone, promoting the convergence and integration of China’s ancient Yellow River culture, dragon culture, and silkworm and mulberry culture on the banks of the Yellow River, and achieving the poverty alleviation and rural revitalization of traditional agricultural towns.
The issuance of the support measures will further optimize Longju’s tourism policy environment, strengthen investor confidence, and promote the implementation of tourism projects.
