Qingfeng Street, Jiaozhou: 'Sky Horses and Cloud Dragons' - An Exceptionally Beautiful Scene

Qingfeng Street, named after the 'Qingfeng Cave' beside the Zhukuxi River and the white rocks 'Three Caves of White Rock' in Baiyan Mountain. Baiyan Mountain, also known as Yinzhuan Cave, was a famous historical attraction in Leshan. 'Leshan County Chronicle' says: 'Sky Horses and Cloud Dragons are extraordinarily beautiful.' Among the Three Caves of White Rock, Qingfeng Cave, Baiyun Cave and Xuanhe Cave are the most distinctive. Within the Three Caves of White Rock, there are approximately 40 stone tablets currently preserved, of which 15 were carved in the Song Dynasty, 1 in the Yuan Dynasty, and 3 in the Qing Dynasty. These are valuable materials for studying the history and calligraphy art of Leshan.

During the late Qing Dynasty, Mr. Wang Bingan, a researcher from Guixi, wrote a poem entitled 'Visiting the Three Caves of Baiya' in Qingfeng Cave: 'The three caves are delicate and refined, and the eminent scholars of the Northern Song Dynasty have passed through. The public admires the remnants of my old journey, the old springs and their children are flowing with the wind. The clouds and mist are proud and worthy of high-minded scholars, and I, an old man, am saddened that I have grown old and drunk; I insert (zhujiu – rosehips) and return to drunk; who will play the copper bell to sing the mighty Yangtze River?'
