Practice techniques


Action one

  • Sit on the ground, extend your legs forward, let the sides of the sit bones touch the ground evenly
  • Bend your right leg, let the soles of your feet come to the outside of your left knee
  • Right hand leaning on the back of the right hip, left hand upward to extend the spine
  • Exhale bend the elbow with your right hand to the outside of your right knee, fingers together
  • The spine twists backward to the right, the neck twists to the right back, the chin pulls inward, the eyes focus on looking at one point
  • Hold for 10-15 deep and long breaths, extend your legs, shake and relax, switch to the other side to practice

Action two

  • Stretch your right leg outwards, bend your left knee and grab your toes to extend the knee outwards
  • The sit bones on both sides are evenly seated on the ground, both fingertips are on the ground
  • Inhale, extend the spine upwards
  • Exhale, fold your upper body downwards from the hips, relax your upper body and neck, let your abdomen sink
  • Always maintain the spine perpendicular to the ground, the left and right shoulders on the same line, the left foot is firmly planted on the ground, feel the force of the left elbow and right knee, and push the right shoulder back
  • Hold for 10-15 breaths, extend your legs, shake and relax, switch to the other side to practice


Twisting posture has cleared the liver and gallbladder meridian, half of the dragonfly posture stimulates the inner side of the liver and gallbladder meridian


And those who practice Qi Gong may find that the flexibility on both sides of the body is different whether it is in twisting or half dragonfly posture

Mostly, the twisting and extension of the right side will be easier, this is a normal situation because most people's dominant right side is more obvious. Therefore, in the practice, we can first start from the left or more tense side, and stay for a longer time.
