And see how they've been messing around
I used to raise tropical fish, and I only started getting in touch with goldfish in the past six months. I found their colors and body shapes very attractive, especially liked them.
I was eager to buy them and when I got home, I found that there was no suitable place to raise them. So I tried to put the goldfish and sturgeon together.
The result was amazing! The sturgeon was in the bottom layer, and the goldfish were in the middle and upper layers. The combination was perfect, and it looked very comfortable. So I kept raising them. The initial mixing started in January of this year, that is, during the Spring Festival.
Currently, the fish in the 1.8-meter tank are paired with the following configuration: 8 Golden Retrievers, 5 Lion Coins, 1 Tiger Stripe Sturgeon, 2 Sturgeon. When the sturgeon were small, they were very harmonious and didn't bother each other, but as the sturgeon grew bigger, they sometimes harassed the goldfish. However, the damage was not much, they just chased after the goldfish from time to time.
The feeding temperature is done according to the tropical fish method, the water temperature is 27 degrees, and it is always maintained at a constant temperature.
In terms of feeding, goldfish are fed 6-8 times a day, each time with a very small amount, they finish eating instantly, and the feed is combined with red worms.
Sturgeon have no interest in goldfish feed, but sometimes the goldfish will come to rub against the sturgeon's mud tubes.
The sturgeon is fed once in the morning and once in the evening, each time about 20 small mud tubes for each sturgeon, controlled to 7.8% full. Because sturgeon are carnivorous fish, to take special care of their appetite, I use tweezers to feed the sturgeon until they open their mouths every time. This can also prevent the goldfish from mistakenly eating the mud tubes and causing intestinal inflammation.
In terms of water changes, everyone has a different way of raising fish, my feeling is that fish don't like new water, so I change a small part of the water every day!
Video appreciation
Let me supplement the information about my fish tank situation, the overall dimensions are 1.8 meters long, 75 centimeters wide, and 60 centimeters high, with a water level of 50 centimeters. The picture inside the cabinet is the filter, with a total height of 90 centimeters, the left is the filter tank, and the right is the water tank.
My filter is very simple, just a traditional bottom filter, because my tank is custom-made, when the cabinet was made, it required the cabinet height to reach 90 centimeters high, so that the filter could be mounted on the three-layer blue turnover box, achieving drip and overflow double filtration effect for filtering.
Maybe I'm a traditional fish keeper, so I choose filter media very simply, just ordinary glass rings and biological balls, as long as they can be pulverized.
