Rare Pink Grasshoppers Appear by the River, Rarely Survive to Adulthood

According to reports, British photographer Richard discovered a rare insect: pink grasshopper while walking along the river in Ipswich City.

It is reported that the grasshopper's rare pink skin is due to a genetic mutation called 'erythristic' mutation, similar to albinism, but its skin has red pigment deposition.

Because the color of this genetic mutation grasshopper is very conspicuous, animals predators can easily find them, so they rarely survive to adulthood, which is also the reason why pink grasshopper is so rare.
