Owl Nicknamed 'Little Fat' Unable to Fly Due to Overeating

Whenever there is a festive occasion, a person will gain ten pounds. This is not just for humans, but also for animals. According to The Daily Mail report, recently, a kind citizen in the UK discovered an owl unable to take off. At first, he thought it was injured. However, after checking by the Norfolk Owl Protection Zone staff, they found that it was just too fat.

This wet little owl was discovered in the ditch a few weeks ago. Generally, if injured or wet, owls cannot fly. However, when the Norfolk Owl Protection Zone staff checked this little owl, they found that it was just too fat.

This owl is a girl and was named 'Little Fat' by the staff of the Norfolk Owl Protection Zone. Because this owl weighs 245 grams, although 245 grams may seem like a small number, it is more than one-third the weight of an ordinary female owl. So this owl cannot fly, it is entirely because it is too heavy. After a diet of about 30-40 grams, this 'Little Fat' was released back into nature.

Team Leader Rufus Canning said that this 'Little Fat' gained so much weight because, in the surrounding area, the number of prey for owls was particularly abundant, and this winter was relatively warm, so the owls could eat a lot of fat. Staff also checked to rule out whether this 'Little Fat' was a pet, but they did not find any rings or chips. They also did not hear any information from nearby residents about lost pets.

And another thing, this 'Little Fat' owl likes to eat black rats, which indicates a more wild hunting habit. Therefore, the staff believe that this is a fat event for a wild owl.

Oh, the greedy little owl should watch its weight, it's not safe to be too heavy and unable to fly.
