Red Network Moment Yichang February 11th news(Correspondent Li Jianzhi and Liao Wen) On the morning of February 11th, a group of environmental volunteers in, led by Li Jianzhi, patrolled the Baisha Changhe River area of South Dongting Lake and discovered a 'black spot' rising against the current in the Yangtze River. The 'black spot' appeared and disappeared in the water.
This is Yangtze River dolphin! Li Jianzhi, with many years of observation experience in Dongting Lake, exclaimed upon seeing it and quickly took photos of this precious group of photos with his portable camera.
This is the first time this species has appeared in this water area in 30 years. It's incredibly rare. This is closely related to the closure of Yichang paper mill, the removal of illusion arrays, river channel dredging and reclamation, shoreline protection, and river channel cleanup in recent years, as well as the increasing proximity of the clear water of Dongting Lake to the people.
