Jinguanling Wetland Welcomes Returning Migratory Birds

Recently, the first batch of migratory birds returning north has arrived at Jinguanling Wetland in Hunchun City, Jilin Province. Large flocks of wild geese soared in the wetland, interspersed with white-tailed sea eagles and great white-tailed eagles, both national Grade I protected birds. According to monitoring by the Wild Resource Protection Station of the Hunchun Northeast Tiger National Nature Reserve Administration, these birds numbered over 10,000, with approximately 30 white-tailed sea eagles and 2 great white-tailed eagles. Jinguanling Wetland is located in a key state-owned forest area under the jurisdiction of the Changbaishan Forestry Group. The wetland is where the China-Japan and China-Mongolia migratory bird routes converge. Every spring and autumn, tens of thousands of migratory birds stop here to forage and replenish their energy.
