Small Deer in Nara, Japan, Come to You for Cookies – One of the Cutest Animals!

Nara Park is a urban park located at the foot of Mount Wakakusa in Nara City, and it’s also my favorite park. The famous historical sites like Todai-ji Temple and Kasuga Taisha Shrine are all within this park, making it a must-visit destination when touring Nara. The adjacent Mount Wakakusa is the best place to enjoy the scenic views of Nara. It's best to leisurely stroll through the park to fully enjoy your visit. It’s also home to the largest concentration of deer, and feeding the adorable deer is a popular attraction for visitors.

The scenery of Nara Park is beautiful, and you can also enjoy the view of Mount Wakakusa. It's also the main gathering place for the local deer. The deer in Nara are indeed very polite, bowing their heads when they see tourists. However, it's said that they actually mean for tourists to hand over their food. I also found that when I offered deer crackers to the deer, they didn't allow me to touch them.
On the contrary, if I hadn't brought any food at the beginning, they wouldn’t resist touching me. Of course, even after discovering this problem, I still kept buying deer crackers, because they give a really cute impression.
