Starting this month, Zhengzhou will launch a two-month concentrated enforcement action for dog management
Spring is a peak season for dog-related issues, with increasing outdoor dog walking numbers as the weather gradually warms up, to reduce dog disturbances, injuries, and uncivilized dog ownership behaviors, on April 2nd, the Municipal Urban Management Bureau launched an arrangement and deployment of the spring civilized dog raising concentrated rectification action.
This concentrated rectification action will run from early April to the end of May, lasting two months.No less than 3 times of joint law enforcement actions will be carried out weekly. The focus is on concentrated rectification of prohibited dog raising, large dogs, stray dogs, and uncivilized dog ownership behaviors.
Specifically, the actions will target dogs on public roads, parks, and riverfront areas without permits (un-inspected dogs), raising prohibited dogs, violating dog walking rules, and failing to clean up dog waste. The Municipal Urban Management Bureau will increase the capture of stray dogs to significantly reduce illegal dog raising, walking, and stray dog numbers in the city.
At the same time, fully utilize various carriers and communities to carry out publicity work, promoting the new style of civilized dog raising, and publicizing the harm of not abiding by the law and uncivilized dog raising, to raise citizens' awareness of abiding by the law and civilized dog raising. Dog owners who have not registered or renewed their dog registration or inspection certificates will be ordered by the urban management administrative enforcement department to complete registration or renewal within a certain period. If they fail to complete registration or renewal within the deadline, their dogs will be temporarily confiscated, and a fine of three thousand yuan per dog may be imposed.
The Municipal Urban Management Bureau Dog Raising Office reminds dog owners: When walking dogs, you must keep the dog on a leash, proactively avoid elderly people and children, avoid walking dogs in crowded places, and promptly clean up dog waste.
