Inner Mongolia: Kolqin Nature Reserve Welcomes Thousands of Rare Migratory Birds
CCTV News:Recently, the large lakes and wetlands in the northeastern part of Xing'an League, Inner Mongolia, have welcomed over ten thousand rare birds.

Within the Inner Mongolia Kolqin National Nature Reserve, Danthron Cranes, White Spoonbills, Little Swans, Gray Geese, Bean Geese, Gray Cranes, and Red-necked Geese – ten rare bird species – were resting by the lakes, sometimes foraging and playing, and sometimes soaring into the sky. These migratory birds will continue to fly north in batches after staying for 20 days. The Kolqin National Nature Reserve covers an area of over 120,000 hectares, and its special terrain has created a diverse ecosystem, which has become an important migratory channel for rare birds in eastern Inner Mongolia.
