Touching Scene! Mother Monkey Dies Tragically from Electrocution, Young Monkey Reluctant to Leave

According to the British ‘Mirror’ report on February 18th,A touching scene was captured in Kakoi Jana Wildlife Sanctuary near Gaongarh, Assam, on the afternoon of February 12th at around 3 pm, featuring golden langur monkeys, which inhabit Assam and some areas of neighboring Bhutan.

The female monkey tragically died after being electrocuted, leaving a young, underage monkey unwilling to leave. The young golden langur looked very distressed, cuddling up to the body of its mother, constantly using its nose to rub against its mother's fur, hoping its mother would wake up and give it another hug. However, all this was in vain; the electrocuted mother monkey could no longer return, and finally, people wrapped the monkey's mother in a cloth and sent her to be buried.

The report states that this is not the first time that monkeys have died from electrocution in this area. India received a notice from the Animal Welfare Foundation on January 8th, which has legal effect, requesting the removal of power cables installed in the protected forest area. These facilities had already caused too many animal burns and deaths.
Golden langur monkeys have a very distinctive name, this monkey has golden yellow fur, known for its black cheeks and a tail that can reach up to half a meter, which looks very cute. This monkey is usually fond of living in high trees, and it is said that it is almost extinct, with the number of wild monkeys less than 6000. It is such a species that urgently needs human protection, but it has already died due to human negligence for the first time, the Indian authorities really need to take it seriously, don't wait until the end and regret.
