Dog Contracted Canine Distemper, Became Horribly Disfigured, Saved by Kind Person and Became an American Star

This dog's name is Moore, and he looks perpetually goofy with his tongue always hanging out. Such an ugly dog probably wouldn't be wanted by many, but Moore is now living a life far happier than just happy; he's become a celebrity. However, for a long period of time, things didn't look so optimistic. Moore was born in Puerto Rico, where he contracted canine distemper and was abandoned on the DeadDogBeach, located on the island's southeast coast, where hundreds or thousands of animals are killed each year.

Canine distemper is a terrible virus that often kills animals it infects, damaging the nervous and respiratory systems. However, this dog survived. The virus caused him to lose his teeth (therefore, he couldn't keep his tongue in his mouth), and his brain was traumatized, and for a long period, he would avoid passing pedestrians, whether it was due to distrust of humans or other reasons after being abandoned by humans. Moore was finally discovered and rescued by TheSatoProject, who brought him to the United States and treated him.

Actually, after arriving in the United States, a veterinarian advised euthanizing Moore; at that moment, Moore began wagging his tail and looked up at the veterinarian with pleading eyes, as if to say, 'Please don't let me die.' Just then, he met the Gallant family. Gallant saw the dog's characteristic tongue hanging out, and instead of finding it ugly, he thought the dog was very cute. After consulting with his family, they decided to adopt this long-faced dog. After the family took care of Moore with meticulous care, although Moore couldn't return to his previous appearance, his overall health was very good. Gallant posted photos of his life with the dog online, which caused a sensation, and many people praised the Gallant family's good deeds.
