According to the British 'Daily Mail' report on February 26th, a pet hospital in Sydney, Australia, successfully removed a towel swallowed by a python from the python's belly last week. The video from the scene was shocking, and many netizens wondered how the python managed to swallow an entire towel and why the towel was intact after removal.

This rainforest python is a pet owned by a family, and it is 18 years old this year, with a length of 3 meters. Last week, the owner discovered that the python was behaving abnormally and, upon further examination, found that a one-meter-long towel was missing, suspecting that it had been swallowed by the python.

So the owner immediately took the python to a local animal protection agency. The agency's staff said they often encounter strange cases, but a python swallowing a towel is a very rare occurrence.

Subsequently, the python was sent to a small animal specialty hospital in Sydney's northwest. After examination, doctors found that the python had a towel in its belly, and it had been swallowed very deeply, about one meter from its head, and it hadn't been digested.

The doctors then used a endoscope and a long tweezers to carefully remove the towel from the python's mouth. The python was discharged from the hospital the same day. The owner said that after the surgery, the python looked like it had been hungry for a long time and quickly regained its vitality after eating. It is reported that rainforest pythons are docile in nature and usually live in northeastern Queensland, Australia, and can grow to more than 3 meters long, with a lifespan of 30 or more years, and mainly feed on rats,, pouch animals, birds, and bats.
