Sika Deer Surviving from the Ice Age to the Present
Sika deer, which have survived from the Ice Age to the present, have coexisted with humans for about 2.5 million years. Sika deer are divided into the Mongolian subspecies and the Chinese subspecies. Specifically, the Mongolian subspecies only inhabits Mongolia, and is native to Mongolia from a scientific perspective. Sika deer are mainly distributed in 7 sumus in the Go Bi Altai Province of Mongolia and 3 sumus in the Kobdo Province, and are listed as endangered animals.
