Huanghe Grotto National Forest Park Welcomes Over 200 Hooded Grebe and Teal Ducks

Since February 22nd, the Huangdao National Forest Park in Xiazhi County has successively welcomed Hooded Crag Crows, Grey Teal Ducks, and over 200 national secondary-protected migratory birds including White Geese.
Huangdao National Forest Park's ancient Gu is Shandong's only global important agricultural cultural heritage site, with 6000 acres of ancient currently within the heritage area, and over 20000 ancient trees over 100 years old. Huangdao National Forest Park's forest coverage rate reaches 61.8%, becoming a transit station and breeding ground for various rare birds.
According to Kong Wenli, Station Director of the Forest Preservation Station of Xiazhi County's Forestry Development Center, this is the largest White Goose population observed in Xiazhi County, ever. The observation locations are in Xiazhi County's Huangdao National Forest Park and the Huijinzhu Lake Reservoir in the Conservation Area of the Xiazhi County Nine Dragon Mouth National Wetland Park. Additionally, 10 Grey Teal Ducks (White Teal Ducks) were observed, marking the first time that Dezhou has observed them. On March 1st alone, 100+ White Geese flew into Xiazhi County.
