Wild Amur Tigers Discovered in Heihe Tai Pinggou National Nature Reserve
CCTV News: Recently, wild Amur tigers have reappeared in the Heihe Tai Pinggou National Nature Reserve in Heihe City, Heilongjiang Province. In recent years, red-eye cameras have been set up in the reserve and have repeatedly captured the tracks of wild Amur tigers.
In March of this year, staff members of the Heihe Tai Pinggou National Nature Reserve Administration in Luobei City, Heihe, discovered clear Amur tiger images captured by red-eye cameras while patrolling.

Staff members introduced that since March 2018, the reserve has repeatedly photographed the tracks of wild Amur tigers. Currently, staff members have added more red-eye cameras in areas where Amur tigers are likely to appear in order to better capture and record the movement tracks of wild Amur tigers.
It is reported that the Heihe Tai Pinggou National Nature Reserve is located in Luobei County, Heihe, Heilongjiang Province, located on the north slope of the Xiao Xing An Ling, bordering Russia across the river. The reserve has a total area of 22199 hectares and was assessed as a National Nature Reserve in 2014. The reserve contains 6 national key protected wild plants, 329 species of vertebrates, including Ermine, Musk Deer and others, as well as 7 national level protected wild animals such as the, and bears such as black bear and brown bear.
