When Buffalo Drink Water, Lions Prepare to Hunt; A Buffalo Sacrifices Its Life to Divert the Enemy
Bob is an African buffalo. When the dry season comes, in order to find water, various animals face a battle of life and death. Bob's mother, in order to protect the herd from lion attacks when drinking water, didn't hesitate to use her life as bait, diverting the lions. Later, Bob became the leader of the buffaloes, and it cleverly used elephants to deal with the lions, avenging his mother.
African buffaloes need to drink thirty liters of water every day, and even forty liters in hot weather. Finding water is the main reason for their migration in the dry season. When buffaloes drink water, two-thirds of their bodies are in the water, so it's difficult to notice surrounding movements. At this time, lions and crocodiles are the most dangerous enemies of buffaloes.

Karalakh Salt Pond, a very ideal watering and resting camp for buffaloes on their migration route. However, the salt pond is the main base of lions and crocodiles.
When Bob was one year old, the dry season came unusually early and went away unusually late, and the water sources on the migration route had all dried up. The herd hadn't found water for two days, and the little buffaloes would die if they didn't drink water for three days.At that time, as the family leader, the mother looked at the weak calves and remaining male buffaloes, and resolutely led the herd to Karalakh Salt Pond, which was the only hope for survival on the Great Plains.
Under the cover of night, the herd gradually and silently approached Karalakh Salt Pond, hiding and waiting for opportunities to drink water.
The lions were ambushed at the salt pond, waiting to attack animals coming to drink water. Under the shade of umbrella trees, a male lion led more than ten young lions sleeping. From the number of young lions, it can be judged that the adult female lions waiting for hunting in the bushes by the salt pond must be no less than eight, and there may be some young female lions joining in.
Bob's mother looked at the weak male calves and remaining male buffaloes. It was full of hope to touch Bob's head with its horns, then lowered its body to lick Bob's head, eyes and nose.Bob felt his mother's reluctance and helplessness, but also felt his mother's fortitude and determination.
When Bob saw his mother's figure again, dozens of meters away, his mother tore open her abdomen with her horn in the bushes, and her intestines dragged across the grassland. When the female lion leader issued a hunting signal, she straightened her back and raised her horns, stumbled towards the opposite direction of the salt pond. Hungry lions rushed towards Bob's mother.
Buffaloes took advantage of the opportunity to drink water by the salt pond. The buffalo family continued to live on the sacrifice of Bob's mother.
Now, Bob has become the leader of the buffaloes. It wants to have this territory, but doesn't want to pay the price of life.
Bob knows that lions are fierce meat-eating animals. The lion population dominates the grasslands. Except for the elephant population, they don't look down on any animal.
Bob came up with a brilliant idea.
Every year, elephants of the same group will gather together. Day after day, year after year, under the leadership of the old female elephant leader, the elephant group followed a fixed route for migration.
Bob and its companions, Kunla and Aka, found the elephant herd passing by Karalakh Salt Pond. A group of young elephants were playing with each other by splashing water with their trunks. A flock of yellow-billed starlings hovered around the young elephants, waiting to catch insects flying up. A yellow-billed starling accidentally pecked at the trunk of a defeated young male calf.
The defeated young calf finally found a place to vent, and began to chase the yellow-billed starlings. The yellow-billed starlings flew randomly and bumped into the young elephants, which annoyed all the young elephants. The young elephants quickly gathered together and began to chase the starlings.
The yellow-billed starlings fluttered their wings to dodge the trunk strikes, returned to Aka's back to seek protection. Bob, Kunla and Aka, carrying yellow-billed starlings, quickly ran to the edge of Karalakh Salt Pond where the lions were ambushing.
Suddenly, Bob changed his usual kind appearance and fiercely tore a young male calf's trunk with his horn. The young male calf let out a sad cry and stumbled around in a confused manner… The smell of blood stimulated the lions, before the leader issued a hunting signal, more than ten young lions rushed towards the young male calf, and seven or eight adult female lions followed closely.
Several young male calves issued an alarm, and at this time, Bob, Kunla and Aka, carrying yellow-billed starlings, had already run far away. The elephant herd immediately gathered together, dozens of elephants rolled from all directions, even the ground trembled,
Angry elephants trampled the lion's base under the leadership of the female elephant leader, and killed several young lions, the remaining lions ran away from Karalakh Salt Pond, and there would be no chance to return here.
The elephants came to the salt pond to apply thick mud to the injured young male calf's trunk, and after drinking and bathing and playing with mud at the salt pond, they returned to their original migration route.
Bob succeeded in driving away the lion group at Karalakh Salt Pond by using the elephants' protective instinct. Bob finally avenged his mother.
