Recently, Geixinyi wetland in Hunchun City, Jilin Province, has welcomed its first batch of migratory birds returning north. A large number of geese flies in the wetland, interspersed with White-tailed Eagles and White-bellied Eagles, both national first-class protected species. According to the Wildlife Protection Department of the Hunchun Northeast Tiger National Nature Reserve Administration, these birds numbered over ten thousand, with approximately 30 White-tailed Eagles and 2 White-bellied Eagles. Geixinyi wetland is located in the key state-owned forest area under the jurisdiction of the Changbaishan Forestry Division, where the China-Australia and China-Japan migratory bird routes converge. Every spring and autumn, tens of thousands of migratory birds stop to forage and replenish their energy here. Xinhua News Agency reporter Xu Chang photographed.
