The animals here are not afraid of people! Stunning Antarctic landscapes recorded, restoring the beauty of the 'real world'

Southern Antarctica, undoubtedly a journey that must be taken once in a lifetime. I want to record everything with my lens, including anticipation, hardship, hope and melancholy.

We spent two days crossing the Drake Passage, which is known as the 'Devil's Sea'. The waves were huge and the wind howled fiercely.

At first we were all very excited, standing on the deck, filming the ocean's furious expressions with long and short guns.

As time went on, 90% of my companions were tormented by seasickness, and the young girl was basically 'lying down to go and lying down to come back'.

Crossing the Drake Passage

One morning, a mysterious ice and snow land suddenly came into view. The closer we got to the end of the world, human's yearning and recklessness towards the unknown stirred up our hearts.

George's Land

Today I'm visiting the Antarctic continent for the first time, and I will feel a strange sense of emotion.

Because Southern Antarctica has always been a mysterious and longed-for place for me.

When we first arrived at George's Land, it was quite exciting. This is the first time my feet have stepped on Southern Antarctica.

Southern Antarctica, I'm here.

Boarding the inflatable boat to land.

Whale Bones: Existence Beyond Time

Although I've been to many lands and traveled to countless countries, the first time I stepped on Southern Antarctica was a very different feeling.

When I first landed in Southern Antarctica, the biggest shock was seeing the whale bones lying on the shore, quietly lying there.

Whale Bones

I don't know when it had been lying there, I don't know how many years it had lived, and it was so close to me. It made me feel very small. This sense of age and ancientness suddenly calmed me down and made me think.

Whale Bones

These scattered whale bones, seemingly ordinary, are all existence beyond our time, they cannot be touched, but they are real. Perhaps this is Southern Antarctica.

Not touching or stepping on them, preserving their original state is the greatest respect to ourselves.

Penguins: Beautiful Yet Unreachable

The expedition members reminded us to pay attention that there are Adelie and Papuan penguins on this island. Today we're seeing them for the first time, we will be excited, but we shouldn't get too close to the penguins. We should be quiet and walk slowly.

Adelie Penguins

Adelie Penguins: Their heads are blue-green, and their collars are white. They are the 'little dots' of the penguin family and have a tendency to be aggressive. They are the most common penguins in Southern Antarctica.

Papuan Penguins

Papuan Penguins: They are larger, with a prominent white patch above their eyes and a thin, red-mouthed jaw. They are nicknamed 'gentleman penguins' because of their quirky appearance.

Seeing penguins face to face for the first time, you feel like they're so close to you, and you instinctively want to reach out and hug them.

Furthermore, the penguins are not afraid of you. They glance left and right, unable to see you, and they take two steps forward and look back, as if performing a show for us.

I was quite, in fact, fear is a natural instinct of both human and animals. Why don't the animals here fear people? Maybe it's because there is no pollution here, and they don't think humans will harm them.

When in Southern Antarctica, please maintain a distance of 5 meters, walk quietly and slowly, be patient and don't force it, perhaps it will quietly come to your side.

Finally, I managed to take a picture of Southern Antarctica. After a long flight and sea voyage, I experienced turbulent seasickness. Once we arrived here, all the fatigue and exhaustion disappeared.

It's just like when we achieve a goal in life, we will go through many difficulties and hardships. If we just stay in the hardship, we will only get hardship. If we can persevere and move forward, we will eventually reach our goal.

Seeing penguins and whale bones… so many dream-like scenes appeared before my eyes, I had to suppress my excitement and look at them carefully, take a deep breath, open my heart and feel. I like this 'visible but unreachable' beautiful regret, with awe, praying for this pure continent.

Some snow and wind blew over, brushing my face slowly, the sunshine was warm and moisturizing, letting me feel the power of nature, it doesn't need artificial carving and arrangement, it just stands there quietly.

First sight of Southern Antarctica, the wind blowing on my face, snow falling into my hand, my eyes full of infinite, in a moment, it is eternity.
