Chinese Tourists Increasingly Dislike Visiting Korea – Here's the Reason Behind It: Don't Want to Find Faults
As China's economy continues to develop, Chinese people are increasingly fond of traveling. Not only domestic scenery, but many people want to see broader lands, so more and more Chinese tourists have started outbound travel to various places abroad. Especially neighboring countries to China are the most frequent destinations for Chinese tourists, and Chinese tourists have made a lot of contributions to their tourism industry. Taking Thailand as an example, Chinese tourists are the cornerstone of overseas tourism in Thailand, the largest consumer group contributing to the development of Thailand's tourism industry. As Chinese tourists continue to go abroad, more and more countries have begun to realize the vast market and consumption power of Chinese tourists. Various countries have begun to strive for Chinese tourists, but in this process, there is one country where Chinese tourists are becoming fewer and fewer, that is Korea.

Korea was once the most favorite country for Chinese tourists because of the popularity of Korean dramas in China. Many Chinese tourists have a good impression of Korea, and Korean skincare and cosmetics are also very attractive to Chinese tourists. In the past, Chinese tourists frequently traveled to Korea, and the streets of Korea often saw the figures of Chinese tourists. However, Koreans didn't think about how much consumption Chinese tourists created in Korea, but instead regarded Chinese tourists with disdain.
Korean people think that Chinese tourists are people without quality and often write slogans in Chinese to remind tourists to be mindful of their manners, such as 'Now the service staff you face is also someone's precious family, and verbal abuse can be punishable' and 'Don't take away the food in the restaurant' during buffet time.

These slogans made many Chinese tourists very angry. It wasn't because they refused to admit that some Chinese tourists lacked quality. Actually, all countries have tourists who lack quality. It's not only Chinese tourists who are like that. They need to consider that the number of Chinese tourists traveling to Korea is the largest among all countries. Moreover, many Chinese tourists didn't do anything, and their feelings after seeing these slogans, Korean stores didn't consider or care about it. This is where Chinese tourists are most angry.
Later, there was a petition of several thousand people in Jeju Island requesting the cancellation of visa-free entry for Chinese tourists. The reason was that there were too many Chinese tourists, disturbing the lives of local residents. This completely angered Chinese tourists. It's reasonable to limit the number of people who can go to the island if there are too many tourists, but why target Chinese tourists? Can't other tourists go up, but Chinese tourists can't?

All of these events, plus the subsequent conflicts between Korea and China, have led to Chinese tourists increasingly disliking to travel to Korea. Tourism is for relaxation, but in Korea, it seems impossible to achieve it. Coming to a place that doesn't welcome you is like being sentenced to hell. Therefore, many Chinese tourists decided not to travel to Korea. Korean people, if they dislike Chinese tourists, then Chinese tourists shouldn't go to Korea. There are many fun places around China, why go to Korea to be judged? The loss of Chinese tourists will cause what impact on Korea's tourism industry – this is what these anti-Chinese tourists in Korea haven't thought about.
