Water Maze to the Extreme

On April 6th, a Purple Crane reporter's aerial footage of the Jiangsu Huai'an Baihu Lake Wetland Park shows a complex network of fields and ponds, forming a 'water maze' within the wetland. Under the picturesque green lake, it creates a delightful scenery. It is reported that Baihu Lake Wetland Park is located in the south of Baihu Lake, which was approved as a National Wetland Park (pilot) in late 2015, with a total planned area of 3243.37 hectares. Since the pilot construction, the 'Four Lakes Project' of 'dewatering, returning lakes, clean water inflow, and dredging' has been vigorously implemented, resulting in a significant improvement in the ecological environment, with the clean water area in the lake district increasing twice compared to before the dredging, and water quality consistently maintained at the III-class water standard. In accordance with the strategic goal of creating a 'International Wetland City', it strives to build a beautiful environment, distinctive first-class National Wetland Park. After several years of construction, the basic construction of the wetland park has entered its final stage, and it is planned to open to the public in the second half of this year.
