Leizhou, Guangdong: Worth Visiting San Yuan Tower Park (30,000+ Square Meters) with 20 Yuan Ticket?
Guangdong, a province with a large population and diverse culture. I have traveled through it many times on my travels, but each time I can reap different surprises, from south to north, from east to west, and every city's culture is full of personality and colorful.
Leizhou, located on the Leizhou Peninsula, is adjacent to my hometown of Hainan Island. It's a city that makes me feel very familiar, after all, I can completely understand their dialect, without any sense of strangeness.

In the Leizhou District, there is a park with an area of over 30,000 square meters – San Yuan Tower Park. It 'hides' in Leizhou's old street district. To be honest, it's a little difficult to find, even with navigation, you need to pay attention. The gate is a gate-style building, and after entering, you can see many local residents chatting under the lush banyan trees, next to which are basketball courts full of students. If you walk further in, you'll reach a park entrance with a completely different vibrant campus style.

The park ticket price is 20 yuan. Perhaps it was because I went at a slightly late time, there were almost no tourists here. The atmosphere is quiet, the buildings are ancient and rustic, and the 'Two Officials' Hall is one of the main buildings of San Yuan Tower Park, a four-in-a-row courtyard with four gates. 'Two Officials' refers to two 'local celebrities' from Qing Dynasty Leizhou – Chen Zhide and Chen Changqi. The former was known for his integrity, and the latter was renowned for his erudition and literary talent.
The environment of the Two Officials' Hall is beautiful and antique, with flowers, green plants, and a fake mountain called 'Bi Qi'. It's very suitable for a leisurely stroll, and if you're tired, you can rest in the pavilion or corridor. It's a place that's soothing to the soul.
However, the first thing everyone who comes to play will notice is San Yuan Tower, because the park is named after it. This tower was originally named 'Wen Kui Tower', also known as 'Qi Xiu Tower', later, because snake eggs were discovered when the tower foundation was dug, which were believed to be 'third and fourth' signs, so it was renamed 'San Yuan Tower'.

This towering ancient tower, hidden in the park, has a history of nearly 400 years and is a crystallization of the wisdom of the Leizhou people. When the tower was built, the tools were very simple, but the people of Leizhou overcame many difficulties and built this magnificent high-rise ancient tower in just two years, with eight goblets and nine levels, with 17 floors inside, and a height of 57 meters.

Many people say that Leizhou has few tourist attractions and not many highlights, but I think every place has its own culture, as long as you feel it with your heart, you will get the rewards that a traveler wants. Like San Yuan Tower Park, it's a very niche attraction, but it is indeed a microcosm of a historical and cultural city in Leizhou, Leizhou's most famous ancient relic. How much reward it gives to visitors depends on how proactive and enthusiastic travelers are.
