Cherry Blossom Heritage Welcomes the Spring, Bao Mo Garden Hosts a Series of Cherry Blossom Viewing Activities
Spring colors fill the garden, keeping nothing contained! With the orderly resumption of tourism, Bao Mo Garden in Panyu District is welcoming the annual Romantic Cherry Blossom Festival. On March 22nd, the 'Han Style Ancient Charm Cherry Blossom Festival' and 'Cherry Blossom Photography Contest' were launched here.

Cherry blossoms have a deep-rooted connection with China, as China is the homeland of cherry blossoms. When the world came to visit, they were introduced to Japan. In ancient China's Qin and Han dynasties, cherry blossoms were cultivated in imperial royal families' gardens; by the Han and Tang dynasties, cherry blossoms were planted in private family courtyards; during the Tang Dynasty, 'Cherry Blossom Festival' was popular, and traveling to view cherry blossoms became a happy way of life for the people. Tang Dynasty poet Bai Juyi wrote: 'New cherry trees planted in a small garden, leisurely winding around the branches, simply for a stroll.'


In order to promote the recovery of the tourism industry, accelerate the integration of culture and tourism, and 'add value' to culture, and 'enable' tourism, further promoting the brand, characteristic, and high-quality development of the culture and tourism industry, Guangzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Film and Tourism organized a high-level professional performance team to assist the 'Han Style Ancient Charm Cherry Blossom Festival' in Bao Mo Garden, presenting a visual feast of romantic cherry blossoms and traditional culture interweaving. Under the cherry blossom trees, the combination of cello, flute and Guangdong music masterpiece 'Pinghu Autumn Moon' was elegant and beautiful, with Cantonese opera 'Five Army Tigers' featuring martial arts actors with dragon and tiger martial arts, presenting a majestic and heroic momentum, re-creating the glory of Cantonese opera.

Talented gentlemen and beautiful ladies under cherry blossom trees, music, calligraphy, painting, poetry, tea and wine. The garden has carefully created five Han Style cherry blossom shooting scenes for tourists to linger and return in the Han Style Ancient Charm cherry blossom beauty.
Bao Mo Garden organized a 2020 'Cherry Blossom Photography Contest' simultaneously, which followed the principles of 'positive and upward, voluntary participation' and invited tourists and citizens to participate. The submitted works took photos in Bao Mo Garden·Southland Courtyard, showcasing Han Style Ancient Charm and cherry blossom beauty.

Bao Mo Garden scenic area organizes staff to clean and disinfect all public areas daily, implementing temperature checks and mask wearing for visitors, providing free anti-epidemic and disinfection hand sanitizers, and continuously strengthening staff epidemic prevention and training, creating a safe and orderly environment for visitors to enjoy without worries.
