The area has four-way traffic, with high-speed, high-speed rail, and airport within easy reach. Nearby Rizhao Reservoir Wetland Park, Reservoir Spirit Memory Hall, and Red Education Hall, and over 20,000 acres of blueberry farms, provide an outstanding advantage for expanding the camp's study content.
The camp was built according to provincial study camp practice education camp standards, with an area of over 150 acres and a building area of 1200 square meters. Accommodation, catering, and various activities can simultaneously meet the reception capacity of 1000 people. The camp has 12 indoor study venues; 10 characteristic experience venues; 12 military experience projects; 16 character development sites; and 50 other teaching-aid-type development projects. Approximately 160 courses are held each month. The 1971 Study Camp is mainly positioned as study practice, national defense military, red education, character development training, and experience tourism. Currently, 62 courses have been developed with a system based on study practice, red education, rural experience, non-material cultural heritage, life safety, national defense education, and natural ecology.
The Rizhao 1971 Study Practice Education Camp's curriculum system is guided by 'Middle and Primary School Ideological and Political Education Guidelines' and 'Civilize their spirit, barbarian their physique'. It is based on the 'three lives' of life, survival, and life as its main line, highlighting the local characteristics and customs of the study camp, and closely focusing on five key directions: excellent traditional cultures, revolutionary traditions, national conditions, defense science and technology, and natural ecology. It allows young people to feel the vastness of the motherland, feel the greatness of Chinese excellent culture, feel the glorious history of revolution, feel the great achievements of reform and opening up, and strengthen their understanding and recognition of the 'four confidences'.
