To improve existing tourism products and create a better tourism environment, and to revitalize the vitality of Xiaomesha Beach, Xiaomesha Hotel and Xiaomesha Ocean World recently officially opened. This marks the 30-year journey of Xiaomesha Beach, and the 2020 Xiaomesha Beach project has officially begun.
According to the overall planning of the Xiaomesha sector, the Xiaomesha sector transformation will invest 150 billion yuan. In the future, Xiaomesha will develop its industry based on ‘Cultural Tourism + Health Lifestyle,’ with the theme of ‘Embracing the Ocean, Xiaomesha Town,’ and a world-class, international urban coastal tourism resort built with international-level marine tourism resources.
The newly upgraded Xiaomesha will build a human-shaped coastal public green corridor with water as its core, including a central (stacked water lake view), a western side seafoam street view, and an eastern side ecological lagoon.

Currently, the Xiaomesha sector urban renewal planning has been approved, and recently will gradually carry out the architectural design work in various areas.
On March 23, Shenzhen Special Group Co., Ltd. issued a notice, Shenzhen Xiaomesha Sector 02-09, 02-10 and 03-01-01, 03-01-02 land blocks building scheme international bidding.
Currently organizing the ‘Shenzhen Xiaomesha Sector 02-09, 02-10 and 03-01-01, 03-01-02 land blocks building scheme international bidding,’ open to the global public to solicit innovative, creative and implementable architectural design schemes.
This international bidding is divided into two bidding segments. The content of each bidding segment is as follows:
Segment I: Building scheme design for 02-09, 02-10 blocks.
Segment II: Building scheme design for 03-01-01, 03-01-02 blocks.
Xiaomesha Beach is located on the eastern golden coastline of Shenzhen, facing the Dapeng New District to the east, adjacent to Xiaomesha to the west, north to Mount Luohan, and south to Dapeng Bay. It is 28 kilometers from Futian District, and boasts excellent mountain, lake, sand and reef resources, making it one of the nearest and most natural coastal leisure tourism areas in Shenzhen.

According to the plan, Shenzhen’s MGM Hotel will be rebuilt on the site of the current Xiaomesha Ocean World, and the Xiaomesha sector will be built into a world-class, urban coastal tourism resort integrating travel, residence and industry with marine culture as its core.
Multiple sections of the Pi Chong River face the sea, allowing the natural scenery of mountains and sea to permeate every corner.
‘Zero-distance approach to mountains and sea’ is created in the coastal town.
Not only Ocean World, including MGM Hotel, Xiaomesha Beach will present itself as a world-class coastal theme town.
Xiaomesha Ocean World is expected to open in June 2022.
