The Two Cities in Guangdong Most Likely to Merge: Will They Surpass 'North-up Guang-Fu'?
Nowadays, many excellent tourist cities have emerged in China, and in order to boost the development of two cities, 'metropolitanization' has become an objective requirement of global economic development and regional economic integration, as well as a new form of urbanization. The two cities being discussed now are Guangzhou and Foshan. If the merger is successful, development will surpass North-up Guang-Fu.

Guangzhou is the provincial capital of Guangdong, a major international metropolis, an international trade center, an international transportation hub, and a comprehensive national gateway city. Guangzhou is located in South-central Guangdong, at the northern edge of the Pearl River Delta, bordering the South China Sea, adjacent to Hong Kong and Macau, China's southern gateway to the world, a core city of the Greater Bay Area and the Pearl River Delta Economic Zone, and a key city of the Belt and Road Initiative.

Foshan is located in central Guangdong, in the Pearl River Delta hinterland, adjacent to Hong Kong and Macau, with Guangzhou to the east, Zhongshan to the south. It is an important part of the 'Guangfo Metropolitan Circle,' the 'Guangfo-Zhaoqing Economic Circle,' and the 'Pearl River-West River Economic Belt,' a national advanced manufacturing base and a leading manufacturing center in Guangdong, playing a leading role in Guangdong's economic development.
In the next step of Guangdong's urban construction merger plan, it is likely that Guangzhou and Foshan will be merged into a single city.
Because in the merged Guangzhou, not only the total economic volume is very likely to surpass that of Shanghai and Beijing, but the integration of Foshan's solid heavy industry resources will lead Guangzhou to achieve unprecedented transformation. Adding to this, both cities have the same culture and have always been one, with the same history providing a good foundation for the Guangfo merger.

Guangfo have been lip and tooth, similar climate and customs, and the distance between the two cities is so close, both domestically and internationally.

For thousands of years, they have been one, with the same history, and the customs of the residents of both areas are naturally the greatest advantage of Guangfo exchange.

The two cities have a lot of attractions within their borders: Longlu Farm, Lingnan Tianyi, Flower City Square, Canton Tower, Huangpu Military Academy, Longlong Tourism Resort, and tasting the most authentic Lingnan cuisine, which attracts many tourists from all over the world every year.
