Today, I'm going to introduce a scenic spot with a fantastical name – I believe it will be loved by many children just from its name. It's Yugu Shentan in Beijing, which not only boasts beautiful and natural scenery but is also very cool in the summer, making it a great choice for escaping the heat.
Yugu Shentan has a peculiar terrain with numerous overlapping small hills and small waterfalls. These small cliffs are all different, with various angles and shapes. Because of these small cliffs, dense vegetation covers them, creating a tightly sealed environment, making Yugu Shentan's temperature very suitable and exceptionally cool – a natural air conditioner. Although the waterfalls look small, they produce a very loud sound, conveying a huge and majestic raw power that impacts the plants and rocks, bringing a refreshing and joyful feeling. One of Yugu Shentan's charms is its original and natural appearance.
Yugu Shentan is very suitable for family trips. Moms can prepare favorite snacks for their children, and dads can bring small buckets and nets to start playing. Children can run, jump, and chase around in Yugu Shentan, filling the entire scenic spot with joyful laughter. Small streams flow through the gaps in the rocks, and waterfalls occasionally jump out with cute little fish. The fish swim freely, full of vitality and life, just like little angels. With a fishing net, you might even catch a small fish!
There are many Buddhist statues here, but they are all cartoon-style, carved from stone, each one cute and endearing – perfect for kids to take photos. The hills reflect in the crystal-clear spring water, with a blue sky and a few wisps of white clouds – breathtaking.
The prices here are relatively high, and the small food stalls around the scenic area aren't very reliable. It's better to bring your own dry food, and pack a delicious and beautiful lunch, to enjoy a close-to-nature family trip with your children and husband.
