Qikou Ancient Town: A Time-Transcending Ancient Town
After a brief trip to Shanxi last time, I discovered a deep love for the rustic and heavy yellow earth of Shanxi. Its stoic and ancient atmosphere is unforgettable.
If Jiangnan's charming small bridges and flowing water are pleasing to the eye, then Shanxi's Huangtu Gaoquan is heart-shattering, at least it has shaken my heart.
So, I decided to take a weekend trip again to once again experience this desirable land.
The travel route is quite complicated: take an early morning train to Taiyuan, with a one-hour transfer by train to Lüliang, then take a city bus to the memorial, and finally take a minibus to Qikou Ancient Town.
Arriving in Lüliang was 9:00 AM, after getting off the station, I took bus 102 at 9:20 to the 'Xiyaidi Nany' bus stop, and it takes about 5 minutes walk to reach the memorial station. Buy tickets on board for 15 yuan/person, the final stop is Qikou Ancient Town.
The car traveled across the Huangtu Plateau, with endless gullies and ridges of Huangtu hills ands embedded in them. When the car reaches the top, you can overlook the boundless Huangtu Plateau, which is desolate and vast, like a heavy painting spread before your eyes.
If Shanxi's dream-like old towns are a hometown, then the Huangtu Plateau'ss are a real hometown. Is '' really what it is?
Along the way, I saw many village name signs, and most of them are related to 'yuan', , , , I finally understood the origin of the common place names in Shanxi writers' works, such as '', ''
I saw many familiar scenes along the way.

When I'm about to reach Qikou Ancient Town, I saw a big uncle in front of his house holding a bowl of noodles in his hands and eating it with chopsticks without hiding it. It's a familiar memory.
After a 1.5-hour journey, I finally arrived at the final stop: Qikou Ancient Town. The parking spot is at the.

After getting off, I quickly entered the ancient town's main street from the nearest alley mouth, with few tourists, quite desolate, the advantage of the, which is also my favorite atmosphere. The sidewalks are lined with various small shops and roadside stalls, which shows that the former important town has faded away from its former prosperity and reveals the truth of life. ↓
