01. Yunnan Tengchou

An Evening’s Stay • Mountainis located in Hongshilin Ancient Town in Tengchou. The first time you see it, it’s like a flash of azure that penetrates your eyes. When you feel it, you have no thoughts or feelings, quiet and endless.

High saturation of Morandi colors embellish the extreme white, highlighting the unique taste of the host. Everything you see is beautiful. Slowly stroll in the room, marveling at the openness of the space. There are only 15 rooms in more than 3000 square meters, with an average of 60 square meters per room, and the rest are public activity centers: conference rooms, yoga areas, exhibition areas, children's areas, bars, gyms, cafes...

The interior has a highly linear space layout, and on sunny days, light and shadow chase each other, highlighting the power of contemporary architectural aesthetics. Designer Qishan Shan wants to give the guests a feeling of being surrounded by mountains and forests, like integrating into the mountains, enjoying its flavors and temperature, and regaining the joy of staying. I think she did it.

02. Xiamen

In 2015, designers Tina and Echo jointly resigned and established Oneday designer’s first guesthouse. They have always been passionate about lifestyle aesthetics, and have attracted many young people with infinite possibilities to gather together, and all beautiful things naturally and comfortably settle around them.

A quiet white house greets the sea breeze and the shadows of the palm trees, as if stepping into a refreshing Japanese drama. Oneday Island is more like a lifestyle aesthetic space, including an open-style kitchen bar area, a coffee area, an outdoor movie, an outdoor garden, and some shooting areas.

There are 9 guest rooms in two small buildings. The large windows allow the sunlight to record every moment. The tall palm trees sway, responding to the four seasons of the wind. The cave-shaped room seems particularly warm. The afternoon sunshine can directly shine on the bed, and the rest area also embraces the sunshine, sitting in the soft cushion to read, daydream, listen to music, which is a wonderful enjoyment.

Suddenly, I feel that guesthouses are magical things. Different people create different styles in different places, attracting different people who like it. It seems that Oneday's fresh and natural style attracts literary and artistic youth who come to Xiamen.

03. Tonglu

“Cover artwork of China’s Contemporary Architecture at the 16th Venice Architecture Biennale in 2018.” The whole white wall looks quite modern among the surrounding ancient houses. In fact, this white house renovated from ‘pigpen’ uses all building materials sourced locally.

Hidden among the 40-odd Ming and Qing ancient houses in Shenao Ancient Village, mainly based on the Jin Dynasty’s Jingcong Hall, combined with the renovation and update of surrounding rural houses, it created a comfortable interior space and contemporary aesthetics on the surface of the building's historical texture.

Shenao Ancient Town, mountains, and pastoral areas are integrated. Yunxi Shenao includes avant-garde Yunxi cultural selection, rural community library, solife home display space and 16 boutique rooms. The color of the room is clean and fresh, and the combination of beige and gray creates a rustic and minimalist high-end quality.

White walls, black stone, green plants, bamboo railings... all reflect the intersection of contemporary rural sentiment and modern aesthetics. The open kitchen and restaurant can accommodate 20 people, for team building, parties, birthdays, etc. Yunxi·Shenao can satisfy them.

04. Qingdao

There is a white house between the sea and the mountains in 85 No. of Zhan Island, Qingdao - Qisgy. A young couple who fell in love here, lived a harmonious and loving life, and invited guests to enjoy it.

Qisgy is not far from the coast, and the gate is the vast sea. Looking out from afar, there is a prominent white house standing high above. To match Qisgy's unique geographical location and pursuit of natural beauty, Qisgy has used the entire exterior, from the overall shape to the room details, all along the mountain and sea elements.

Qisgy has 7 rooms, one on the first floor, and 6 on the second floor. The room names are taken from the poems of the Spring and Autumn Annals: ‘Jiangxia’, ‘Fuanguo’, ‘Weizhu’, ‘Gantang’, ‘Lvzhu’, ‘Luohua’, ‘Dangdie’, which is very poetic. There is a sunny room facing the sea for the summer, and a mountain view room, Qisgy has 7 rooms, one is on the first floor and 6 on the second floor. The room names are taken from the poems of the Spring and Autumn Annals: ‘Jiangxia❘Fuanguo❘Weizhu❘Gantang❘Lvzhu❘Luohua❘Dangdie’, which is very poetic.

The main hall faces the sea, and the entire glass floor allows you to see the sea. The swimming pool on the second floor stretches to the sea, and the pool side is a wonderful place for a summer vacation.

There is no end to the infinity pool facing the sea, and looking out from afar, it is difficult to distinguish the boundaries. Under the sunshine, you can jump into the pool or sit by the pool to take pictures, which is a wonderful summer vacation.

08. Ningbo Xiangshan

This is a guesthouse located on Zhan Island, Qingdao, with the sea and mountains. It’s not a house, but rather an artistic and humanistic leisure and vacation space. The entire white is like the white in a painting, allowing you to experience this empty and simple trip.

The first phase has 8 guest rooms, a coffee hall, an art gallery, a book bar, and a roof terrace space with a diameter of 180 degrees, Henry named it ‘Art Theatre’: a flexible artistic stage.

Not only can you quietly enjoy your own space in the coffee hall, but you can also have a tea party with three or five friends in the backyard, or hold a party on the roof, whether it is literary and fresh or wild and crazy, Qisgy can easily hold it. “Haiwu Shenxin” and the sea are very close, not just referring to the distance.
