It branches into the South Jinjiang Gorge and the North Jinjiang Gorge, converging at 2.5 kilometers south of Chair Mountain, and when viewed from the air, it resembles a 'person' character carved into the deep forest sea. The plane length of the gorge is 14 kilometers, with the South Gorge segment 6 kilometers long and the North Jinjiang Gorge segment 4 kilometers long. After the confluence of the North and South Jinjiang rivers, the gorge vertically and parallel two sets of joints, and after being cut by the Jinjiang River, weathered and exfoliated, and later broken, it becomes a 'V' shaped gorge.

In autumn, the myriad of colorful flowers and trees are stunningly beautiful.
The landscape within the valley is diverse and varied, with shifting scenery. Some resemble animals, some resemble sculptures, some are tall and towering, and some are small and delicate. They appear to be either moving or still, either angry or furious, with various expressions, which is difficult to accept. Some are shaped like camel humps, some resemble rhinoceroses, some are like mushrooms, and some are like 'double bears climbing', 'rhinoceroses gazing at the moon', 'double elephants drinking water', 'crocodiles swallowing stones', 'griffins searching for prey', 'lions dancing', 'hen phoenix calling', and other strange landscapes. The walls of the gorge are brick red, silver gray, gray black, and (banlan shenchen - colorful and deep), solemn and ancient. The banks are covered with dense forests, ancient trees, with pine trees, birch trees, and (yong shu - Banyan tree) to form different areas and levels of white, green, yellow, and red landscapes. The Jinjiang River flows rapidly through the valley floor, making a resounding sound.

In winter, the snow is vast and desolate, mysterious and deep.
Jinjiang Grand Canyon is the largest volcanic rock gorge landscape in China, with its special geographical location and mythical micro-landscape features, which are rare both at home and abroad, and it has become a new tourist attraction in the Changbai Mountains. From the Jinjiang River upstream to downstream, due to the action of the cross-cutting gorge faults, the resulting fault cliffs and sinkholes form various stepped terrains, which lead to waterfalls and underground forests.
