Visit to South Korea (Essay)
On January 16-19, 2012, I visited our friendly neighbor country, South Korea, the Great Academy. After friendly consultations between the two sides, we reached a wide consensus and signed a strategic framework cooperation agreement. The delegation broadened its horizons during its visit to South Korea, saw the gaps, gained insights, increased confidence. In short, this was a learning trip, a visiting trip, a cooperation trip, a friendship trip, a development trip and a successful trip.
We were once visited South Korea's AnDong SungChan Women's High School in 2007. Five years later, returning to this beautiful land, we couldn't help but feel very excited. Everything was familiar and strange. On January 16th, at 3:30 PM local time, we arrived at Incheon Airport and were warmly welcomed by the South Korean side. A welcome ceremony was held at the airport, and South Koreans took photos together. We drove for 3 hours to Cheoncheon Daemyung University. That night, an international exchange dean of Daemyung University hosted a welcome dinner. That night we stayed at Daemyung University's 3D Life Hall. Every room in the accommodation had a welcome slogan written on the computer interface. Whoever stayed in which room had their name, position, room number and phone number printed, which made it easy for us to contact them. The South Korean staff worked diligently and seriously. From pick-up to accommodation, they were impeccable. Especially, their work demonstrated standardization, scientificness, humaneness and refinement. Compared with ourselves, we were deeply impressed. We should learn from them in receiving work. The South Korean staff worked diligently and seriously. From pick-up to accommodation, they were impeccable. Especially, their work demonstrated standardization, scientificness, humaneness and refinement. Compared with ourselves, we were deeply impressed. The South Korean staff worked diligently and seriously. The South Korean staff worked diligently and seriously. We visited its library, they mostly had e-books, paper books were not much. We saw the books donated by the Chinese Welfare Foundation. They provided chargers for readers, demonstrating humanity. They had book disinfection and dust removal equipment, student package storage boxes, and each computer interface had a welcome slogan, inviting us. In the library, students could rent DVDs and watch them with headphones without disturbing others. The library also had self-study rooms with air purifiers. We visited a bread making workshop, students practiced here, making large bread and then visited a coffee making internship room, which is also the national examination venue. Then we visited a hotel operation laboratory with a simulated hotel front desk, guest rooms and bars. Students could make cocktails here, which is also a national examination venue. Then we visited a makeup image design workshop, beauty and hair workshop with the latest advanced facilities, beauty, manicure, skin care, with 4 internship spaces. Then we visited a kindergarten room, this major is a three-year program. Most surprisingly was the International Tourism Aviation Service Laboratory, its exterior resembles the side of an airplane, inside is a cockpit format, with customs inspection simulation booths, combining customs, duty-free and security functions, very creative. After that, we visited the Preschool Education Props Room, where the instruments are among the best in the country. Then we visited a car performance detection room, where we can check car brakes, exhaust detection, this major is a specialty major, and another specialty major is electronic appliances, and these two specialty majors are supported by national funds, and a large number of computers are used in the detection equipment in these two specialty majors. After that, we visited an electrician electronic internship hall, an architectural design room, they have school colors, school trees, school birds and school flowers. Then we visited an oral cavity clinic, where students treat and care for oral cavities, with two machines per person, professional equipment, the first in the country, which is also a national examination point. They suggested that we set up this major. Then we visited SeMing University and its affiliated Korean Medical Hospital. We visited the memorial hall of Daemyung University and SeMing University's founder, Mr. Kwon Guang-yu. They always keep the founder's educational philosophy and entrepreneurial spirit. Daemyung Medical Hospital mainly conducts physical therapy.
On the 17th, after negotiations between the two sides, a signing ceremony was held, and a strategic framework agreement was signed on some principal cooperation directions. The detailed cooperation projects were to be communicated and discussed in subsequent sub-agreements. The two sides agreed to start cooperation in automotive, electronics, preschool education and oral care first, and other cooperation projects would be further explored. Mostly in a 2+1 form. The two sides also had fruitful discussions on establishing a Korean Culture Center and student dormitory.
Compared with five years ago, I felt that the gap between China and South Korea had changed. South Korean universities are characterized by integrated teaching buildings and laboratories, students learn and practice together. South Korean universities have no walls, built on mountains, and are open and forest park schools. Each floor of the teaching building has a rest room, which is very humanized. South Koreans are full of professionalism and sense of time. Work is diligent and meticulous. In the arrangement of pick-up and drop-off, in all stages of the event, they considered it very detailed and orderly. South Koreans have a strong sense of hygiene. Overall, South Korea's equipment is advanced in individual terms, the hardware gap is shrinking, we have some hardware not bad, even better than theirs, some are not. In terms of software, we have a gap in our concepts, especially in standardization, scientificness, and humanization. After the visit, we were more confident. The improvement of China's comprehensive national strength and international status made us proud. Our road is no worse than theirs. Our college's hardware is catching up with South Korea, and the gap is shrinking. Some are even better than theirs. Our sports field is better than theirs. Their sports field is a dirt road. The strong leadership and scientific decision-making of Principal Lin formed a strong cohesion, centripetal force and combat effectiveness in our college, which will surely be undefeated. We must firmly grasp the enrollment work. Without students, it's no use catching up or taking on, enrollment is good, which provides us with a solid material foundation for building the college. We must firmly promote international exchanges. South Korean universities attach great importance to international exchanges. Daemyung University recruits international students, which is actually to promote Korea, and at the same time promote student consumption, which is also a business of the Sunflower Engineering. We should promote international exchanges, build a large international exchange awareness, connect with the international community, take advantage of strengths and complement weaknesses, and promote the exchange of human civilization, and even jointly promote the progress of human civilization. We should vigorously build specialty construction. We must have 'one wins all', 'one is better than one', 'one is best', and establish specialty groups to attract students to come to us for their admiration, so that they can come to us for their admiration.
Daemyung University and our main cooperation in automotive and electronics are their specialty majors, our aircrew is already a specialty major in Shandong Province. We should use the spirit of seizing the day to upgrade and accelerate talent training, enhance time awareness, efficiency awareness, and service consciousness, improve the college's reputation, and build a five-good college to contribute our efforts to the talent cultivation work of the country.
During our stay in South Korea, we enjoyed Korean cuisine, tasted Korean barbecue, and tasted Queen's chicken soup. This visit made us think deeply. The beautiful Han River, the vibrant city of Seoul, the dazzling scenery of the Jinyang Street and the romantic Cheonggyecheon River made us unforgettable! Cheonggyecheon River is located in Seoul's city center, it is the longest river in Seoul, with a history of more than 600 years, which still attracts more than 10 million visitors every year. It is a witness to the history of Seoul. It has experienced the Han Yang, Joseon Dynasty, Japanese occupation and Seoul today, it contains the love and hate of Seoul citizens. On the 19th, we visited the famous Gyeongbokgung Palace and toured the Han River.During our stay in South Korea, we also enjoyed Korean cuisine, tasted Korean barbecue, and tasted Queen's chicken soup.
