Recently, Xiamen has been rated as the cleanest city in China, with many attractions. The following are the featured attractions that tourists like to visit in Xiamen.
Xiamen and its surrounding countryside have magnificent scenery and pleasant, tree-lined beaches. The most attractive place is Gulangyu Island.
1: Gulangyu Island: Gulangyu is a small island off the coast of Xiamen, facing Xiamen City across the sea. It is very small, located opposite the Xiamen Island ferry terminal near Zhongshan Road.
Gulangyu Island has an area of 1.87 square kilometers and faces Xiamen City across the sea. It has about 20,000 residents and is a very popular tourist destination. Among the many attractions on the island, the most attractive are Rili Rock and Shuzhou Garden.
Gulangyu Island is known for its beaches, winding alleys, and various buildings. It is located in the Chinese National Scenic Area and is one of the Top 10 Scenic Areas in Fujian Province.
Getting to the island: You must take a boat. Gulangyu boat tickets are real-name tickets, which can be booked online.

2: Xiamen Ring Road: Xiamen Ring Road is a coastal highway, 43 kilometers long, with a green belt that provides tourists with a perfect place to cycle along the beautiful coastline.
The most bustling section of the Ring Road is from Xiamen University’s Baicheng Beach to the Xiamen International Convention and Exhibition Center, a 10-kilometer ring road from south to east.
You can rent a bicycle or double bike to cycle around the island’s ring road for about 2 hours. You can also visit some interesting attractions, such as Hulishan Fort, parks and seaside pedestrian paths along the Ring Road.
If you have strong legs, you can walk the 10-kilometer Ring Road, which is a paradise for leisure travelers to enjoy the blue sky, beaches and greenbelts.
3: Forts: Xiamen Forts refers to Hulishan Fort, a magnificent venue surrounded by granite and impressive gates. Hulishan Fort was built in 1891 and covers an area of 13,000 square meters.

Its buildings clearly retain the military styles of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The fortress consists of barracks, secret tunnels, towers, observation platforms, ammunition depots, trenches and castles.
The KRUPP giant cannon, manufactured by Germany, is one of the largest coastal cannons in the world that still exists.
4: Internet Celebrity Check-in Attractions: Xiamen University: Xiamen University was founded by renowned overseas Chinese leader Chen Jiaheng in 1921. Xiamen University is a picturesque campus located between the sea and the 'Five Old Men' Mountain, considered one of the most beautiful campuses in China. Xiamen University has Lu Xun Memorial Hall and the Anthropology Museum.

Opening Hours: Monday to Friday, noon to 2 pm (limited to 1000 people) 17:30 onwards no limit to the number of people. Weekends, national holidays and winter/summer vacations are open all day long (according to the school's regulations).
